The famed Kiwi moose may have been photographed nearly 50 years after the last know picture was taken in 1952. Biologist Ken Tustin who has been searching for moose on Fiordland for over 40 years, has posted an image of what could possibly be the famed New Zealand moose. The image comes from an in-fared motion detection camera taken on on March 7 of this year. After looking at the image myself I can only say that the “moose-like” animal appears to be a red deer not a moose. I could be wrong on this one, but I will let you be the judge.
